Wedding on the shores of the Tegernsee lake
Wedding photo session on Lake Tegernsee
Tegernsee is a place that almost everybody dreamed about at some point. Lake Tegernsee is filled with an atmosphere of warmth and cordiality and is always ready to offer its guests many beautiful places for excursions, recreation and tourism. Lake Tegernsee is one of the cleanest lakes in Germany, a first-class recreation area, as well as a stunningly beautiful place, located near Munich. Another great advantage of Lake Tegernsee is its valley climate. It has a pleasant, moderate mountain climate with plenty of sunny days per year, thanks to the protection of the majestic Alps. The capital of the lake is the homonymous city of Tegernsee, where no more than five thousand people live. The city, located on the eastern shore of the lake, has a long history. It was founded in 746 by monks of the Benedictine order, who built a monastery here. In 1803 the monastery was restored by King Maximilian I Joseph of Bavaria for his summer residence. The valley, where the lake is located, is one of the oldest and most popular German resort areas. In the century before last, it was the residence of Bavarian King Max Joseph. Russian Emperor Alexander I, Austrian Emperor Franz Josef and other monarchs stayed at the lake Tegernsee. In addition to breathtaking scenery, you will find genuine Bavarian hospitality and comfort, hotels with excellent service, restaurants with excellent cuisine, numerous health and beauty salons. Moderate climate of the Alpine foothills combined with developed infrastructure made these places a balneological or therapeutic resort. Water from local springs cures such diseases as rheumatism, liver, diabetes, heart and respiratory diseases. The Lake and Tegernsee Valley is also a sports center, offering skiing and sledging, hiking and biking, all kinds of water sports, as well as tennis courts and the best golf courses in Germany. Among the attractions in Tegernsee are the Benedictine monastery built in the 8th century, also known as the summer residence of the Bavarian kings Wittelsbach, museums, historical houses and churches.
